Wye Sections
Click on any of the links on the right to go to the sections you want to explore in the Wye Valley from Pumlumon/Plynlimon in the Cambrian Mountains and all the way down to Chepstow in the south. To walk from the very source on the eastern slopes through the ravine see Source Gully Walk. This is the true source of the Wye but does require gnarly off-piste walking.

Thru Hike
We literally started walking the Wye by walking all its rivers (check the diaries out) and by the time we got to the Wye after 600 miles (the last) we had pretty much carved out our own path. We were into river sources! No matter what the river walks had to begin at the source. And so our thru hike is different to the official trail. It starts at the very source and traverses the gnarly wild ravine to the official Wye Valley Walk path. If you like the raw, wild and feral way then trekk over to this page where you'' find some good tips - if you want to do the official route then check out the Cicerone guide.
